Calcium chloride dihydrate is a white or gray chemical, mostly in granular form. Currently, calcium chloride dihydrate is used as a snowmelting agent in the most widely used field on the market. Very hygroscopic, easily deliquescent when exposed to the air, and easily soluble in water.

Application

1. It is usually used for snow melting and deicing on roads, high-speed highways, parking lots, and docks.

2. It can also be used as a desiccant, such as for the drying of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, other gases.

3. It is the best material for port fog elimination, road dust collection, and fabric fire protection.

4. Used as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers and acrylic resins.

5. Calcium chloride aqueous solution is an important refrigeration medium for refrigerators and ice making. It can also accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of construction mortar. It is an excellent antifreeze for construction.

6. Used as a protective and refining agent for aluminum-magnesium metallurgy. It is a precipitant for the production of lake pigments.
